Fraser to Address NAAIA’s National Conference
The National African-American Insurance Association (NAAIA) announced that its 2003 National Conference and Empowerment Summit, to be held Sept. 19-21 in Las Vegas, will feature keynote speaker George Fraser, the author of “Success Runs In Our Race: The Complete Guide to Effective Networking in the African American Community.”
Fraser recently was featured in the New York Times bestseller Masters of Networking along with Colin Powell. He is the creator of the award-winning SuccessGuide Worldwide: The Networking Guide to Black Resources. His second book, Race for Success: The Ten Best Business Opportunities for Blacks In America, was selected as one of the 10 best business books of the year by Booklist. Also, Vital Speeches of the Day has selected four of his speeches to be distributed worldwide.
NAAIA’s summit also will feature five specialized workshops. Topics include utilizing captives for difficult-to-place risk in today’s hard market; the essential elements of running a growing, profitable agency; career opportunities in marketing financial services products; how national and local community-insurance partnerships within the NeighborWorks system have focused successfully on urban and low-to-moderate income markets; and ways to grow insurance business by focusing on emerging profitable business opportunities in urban, inner-city and diverse markets.
