AIG Small Business Introduces New Online Services for Insurance Brokers and Agents
AIG Small Business, a unit of the property and casualty insurance subsidiaries of American International Group, announced the launch of “AIG eDelivery(SM),” a new submission status and policy retrieval system for brokers.
“AIG eDelivery enables registered users to check account status, view underwriting contact information and download and print AIG Small Business policies and endorsements,” said the bulletin. “The system supports AIGSB Commercial Umbrella, Management Liability, Financial Institutions and Professional Liability lines of business and can be accessed without any external software.
“Registered users will receive an e-mail alert for all policies or endorsements added to the system through real time account tracking. The policies or endorsements will then be stored in a personal electronic filing cabinet where they can be searched and sorted by a variety of criteria.”
“We at AIG Small Business understand that speed-to-market drives customer satisfaction and retention,” stated Vincent Tizzio, President, AIG Small Business. “Therefore, we have provided this efficient and organized system to help brokers better service the small business owner.”
AIG’s bulletin noted that the new system is “one example of how process improvements implemented by AIG Small Business have allowed brokers to service small business accounts in a more efficient and profitable manner. Another aspect of this initiative is the launch of the AIG Automatic Renewal Underwriting process (AIG ARU) in 2003. For qualified accounts, the AIG ARU process begins 90-120 days prior to policy expiration and assesses the account profile to formulate a renewal quote for approved customers. This simplified renewal process allows brokers to present quotes to the client faster than before, enabling them to stay ahead of the competition.”
