Scullion Tabbed as President for Aetna Workers’ Comp Access
Aetna has appointed Patrick Scullion as president of Aetna Workers’ Comp Access (AWCA).
Scullion will lead the expansion of AWCA’s network access product for injured workers and the execution of Aetna’s strategy to develop a package of services catered specifically to the workers’ compensation industry.
Scullion has more than 22 years of health care industry experience. He joined Aetna in 2003 from First Health Group. During eight years there he served in a number of roles, including vice president and controller.
AWCA helps injured workers, workers’ comp insurance carriers, employers and other service providers manage the rising cost of workplace injuries and illnesses by providing access to health care professionals specializing in physical therapy, occupational medicine, chiropractic, radiology, orthopedics, behavioral health and pharmacy.
The AWCA network is currently available in Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Jersey, Texas, Connecticut, Arizona, Colorado, Missouri, Tennessee and Virginia. Additional states are also under development to complete nationwide access.
