Liberty Mutual Serves Up Loss Control Unit for Insurance Agents, Buyers
Liberty Mutual Group has created a new loss control organization, Loss Control Advisory Services, to give middle and national market commercial insurance buyers and their agents and broekrs better access to professional safety resources.
Liberty’s new Loss Control Advisory Services will provide a targeted approach to improve safety results, access to a pool of technical experts, and a web-based telephonic consulting services.
Loss Control Advisory Services’ field professionals will also continue to provide targeted face-to-face consulting, as needed.
Mark Touhey, who heads Liberty Mutual’s Loss Control Advisory Services, said two trends sparked the creation of the enw unit.
“First, U.S. industry has made significant progress in improving workplace safety over the last 20 years. A combination of increased regulation of safety, upgrades in safety standards and increased in-house focus on safety practices and safety resources by business owners has resulted in a long-term decline in the frequency of workplace injury,” he said.
“Second, the business world today has raised expectations for responsiveness and access to critical information.”
