Troxel Recalls Swing Sets Due to Seesaw Defect
Troxel Co. is recalling more than 105,000 of its Flexible Flyer swing sets because the seesaw seats can break apart from the bolt fasteners while being used, and potentially cause a person to fall.
The Moscow, Tenn.-based company said Wednesday that it has received 1,232 reports of the seats breaking apart from the fasteners. There have been 13 reports of injuries to young children, which include bumps, bruises and cuts.
Troxel is recalling approximately 100,500 of the swing sets in the U.S. and 4,900 in Canada. The sets were sold by Walmart, Toys R Us, Academy and other stores, as well as online from December through May.
The model numbers/model names include: 41575 Big Adventure; 41577 Fun Fantastic; 41578 Fun Fantastic II; 42003 Backyard Flyer; 42013 Backyard Fun; 42023 Backyard Swingin’ Fun; 42030 Windsor II; 42124 Fun Time; 42126 Fantastic Playground; 42544 Triple Fun; 42560 Triple Fun II. Model numbers are located on a sticker under the center of the top bar of each swing set.
