CMIC Group and Crime Bureau Announce Appointments
CMIC Group, a member-owned medical professional liability insurance carrier has promoted Denise M. Condron, previously the director of loss prevention, to the role of vice president of loss prevention.
Additionally, the company promoted Kevin M. Bresnahan, the prior director of claims, to the vice president of claims.
Condron has more than 20 years of health care experience in both clinical and administrative roles, CMIC said in a press release. In 2017, under Condron’s leadership, the company’s continuing medical education program received accreditation with commendationfrom the Connecticut State Medical Society. More recently, she led the company’s return to the MPL Association Data Sharing Project. She has worked over the past several years to expand the CMIC loss prevention education program to include live events and webinars, CMIC said.
Bresnahan has more than 25 years of experience as both a defense trial attorney and an insurance claims executive, CMIC said. In addition to leading the claims department, Bresnahan has played a major role in defending policyholders while protecting the overall interest of the company. In addition, his responsibilities have recently expanded to include lobbying and governmental affairs.
The National Insurance Crime Bureau announced that Brooke Kelley will join the company as vice president of communications effective June 24.
Kelley will lead the NICB’s media relations, video, social media, and marketing team bringing public awareness to the issues of insurance fraud and vehicle theft.
Kelley succeeds Chief Communications Officer and Vice President of Communications Roger Morris, who retired June 11 after 11 years at NICB and more than 20 years in insurance industry communications.
Kelley comes to NICB with experience in both the insurance industry and news media. Since 2013, she has served as assistant vice president of public affairs, leading several industry policy and communications campaigns at the American Property Casualty Insurance Association. Kelley previously worked as an on-air reporter and anchor for more than 10 years in both Savannah, Ga., and Traverse City, Mich.
Kelley graduated with honors from Loyola University Chicago, with a Bachelor of Communication Studies. She has earned a Master of Education from Cappella University. Kelley is also currently enrolled in the Master of Public Policy and Administration at Northwestern University.
