Louisiana Agent Accused of Misappropriating Premiums
The Louisiana Department of Insurance in late August issued a cease and desist order, summary suspension and fine notice to a Many, La., area insurance agent for alleged misappropriation of premiums.
Nancy Campbell Murphy is alleged to have converted funds from premium payments to her own personal use, and created false PFA bank statements between November 2007 and March 2008 in attempt to cover her actions.
Department records show that Murphy was issued a Property and Casualty license in October 2003 and a Life and Health license in June 2003, both which were valid until the current action.
