More Quakes Felt in Oklahoma
Three small earthquakes were recorded Mar. 17 in Del City,Okla. The state has had at lease six earthquake event recorded so far in 2009.
The U.S. Geological Survey says a preliminary magnitude 2.7 quake struck at 12:24 p.m. Mar. 17 and a preliminary magnitude 2.5 quake was recorded 17 minutes later.
The third quake was recorded at 2:57 p.m. rated a 2.2 on the Richter Scale.
There have been no reports of injury or damage.
A magnitude 2.5 to 3 quake is generally the smallest that is felt by people.
The quake is at least the sixth earthquake felt in Oklahoma during 2009. Others were reported in Pittsburg, Grady, Coal and Lincoln counties.
