Company Sues 4 Oklahoma Cities Over Ice Storm Cleanup Costs
A Louisiana-based company has put on hold a $1.4 million lawsuit against four Oklahoma cities.
Integrated Pro Services says in the lawsuit filed in March that the Lincoln County cities of Stroud, Chandler, Wellston and Davenport still owe for the cost of cleanup after the 2007 ice storms.
Attorney Margaret Love for Stroud, Chandler and Wellston says the cities are still waiting for money from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. She says Chandler and Stroud are appealing FEMA’s denial of a large portion of claims the cities filed.
Davenport city attorney David Kirk says that town has gotten inconsistent bills and invoices from Integrated Pro Services to cause a holdup on FEMA money.
