12 Arrested in Investigation of Louisiana Staged Crash Ring
Louisiana State Police reported that 12 people have been arrested as the result of a 2 1/2-year investigation by Region II Criminal Investigation Division, Insurance Fraud Unit/Auto Theft Unit – Monroe Field Office.
The 12 subjects are accused of participating in staged vehicle crash rings that spanned across several north Louisiana parishes.
The LSP said the investigations, which began in May 2008, revealed the Kimble family of Athens, La., and several other individuals were staging vehicle crashes in the north Louisiana over a five-year period. As a result of their actions, insurance claims for more than $40,000 were fraudulently filed with various insurance companies.
Federal Grand Jury indictments were obtained from the U.S. District Court, Western District of Louisiana, on Sept. 24, 2010. In a joint operation on Oct. 19, the Louisiana State Police, Minden Police Department, Claiborne Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the U. S. Marshall’s Task Force apprehended nine of the individuals.
Two other suspects voluntarily surrendered and another person is currently incarcerated at the Claiborne Parish Detention Center on an unrelated theft charge and will be taken into federal custody at a later date.

5. Tony Kimble of Homer
6. Monica Jenkins of Athens
7. Latiffy Robinson of Homer
8. Mary Lee Tate of Arcadia
9. Shuntorian Turner of Minden
10. Joe Abbott of Arcadia
11. Marcus Kimble of Arcadia
12. Damario Henderson of Homer
The twelve individuals were arrested on various Federal charges including 18 USC 371;Conspiracy, 18 USC 1341; Mail Fraud, 18 USC 1343; Wire Fraud and 18 USC 1347; Health Care Fraud.
