Worker Dies in Central Texas Industrial Accident
One worker has been killed and another seriously hurt in an industrial accident in Central Texas.
San Marcos police say a pre-engineered metal building frame under construction collapsed Wednesday at Thermon Manufacturing Company.
Police did not immediately provide further details on the surviving worker, except that the person has non-life threatening injuries and has been transported to a hospital. Police did not release names of either worker.
The building under construction is a new manufacturing facility for Thermon, which makes heat tracing products for the energy industry. The contractor is Bailey-Elliott Construction Inc. of Austin.
Officials with both companies did not immediately return messages Thursday from The Associated Press.
