Another Teen Arrested in Louisiana Street Sign Thefts
Deputies have arrested a fourth person in connection with the recent theft of about five dozen street-name signs.
Maj. Archer Lee of the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office tells The Advocate a 17-year-old from St. Francisville told deputies Monday that she took two street-name signs about two weeks ago.
Lee says the teenager was booked with misdemeanor theft.
Parish officials noticed about 60 street signs missing during the New Year’s weekend. An investigation led to the arrests of three teenagers last week.
Lee says the latest suspect approached deputies and admitted she had taken two signs, saying her conscience bothered her because her cousin was one of the three arrested earlier.
