46 People Evacuated in Texas Fire
An apartment fire in northeast San Antonio, Texas, forced 46 people from their residences.
The San Antonio Express-News reported that the fired burned through the roof at the complex about 2 a.m. Saturday, damaging the building’s attic and destroying two apartments. Two others received water damage. No injuries were reported.
Residents in the building’s 15 units, including 26 children, were forced to evacuate overnight.
While crews worked to safely restore power to the building early Saturday, residents were moved to hotel rooms. The fire caused an estimated $115,000 to $120,000 in damage.
