Texas Man Whose License Was Suspended 21 Times Arrested Again

October 30, 2012

A 28-year-old Central Texas man whose license to drive has been suspended 21 times has been arrested again behind the wheel.

Bryan police on Saturday night arrested Elijah Josea Adams on a charge of evading arrest and driving with a suspended license. The Eagle reports Adams was released Sunday afternoon after posting $4,000 bail.

An arrest report says an officer spotted a vehicle with its engine running in the middle of a street. The driver sped off as police approached and eventually stopped the vehicle.

Adams told police he was driving because his passenger was intoxicated.

Online Brazos County Jail records Monday did not list an attorney for Adams. Further details on his 21 license suspensions weren’t immediately available.
