3 Homeless Men Arrested in Southwest Arkansas Copper Thefts
Authorities in Little River County have arrested three men who they say are homeless in connection with the theft of up to $200,000 worth of copper wire from a cement plant near Foreman.
Prosecutors allege the men stole the wire over a number of weeks, traveling from a tent in which they were living. Security video starting on Feb. 27 allegedly shows the men getting into the Ash Grove Cement and snipping wire from spools.
The Texarkana Gazette reports the men charged are 44-year-old William Forrest Gibson, 21-year-old Tori Allison Royal and 46-year-old Michael Kuester.
Each is being being held on $200,000 bond on charges of Class B felony theft.
A pretrial hearing is set for April 23.
