Grant Will Fund Patrols in Bogalusa
Police in Bogalusa, La., say they will use a newly awarded grant to beef-up traffic enforcement.
The Daily News reports the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission and National Highway Safety Administration have approved a grant of more than $36,000 for the department.
Police Chief Joe Culpepper says the department will use the money to conduct saturation patrols and checkpoints over the next 12 months with special emphasis on holidays.
