Texas Mutual Hires Vice President of Loss Prevention
Texas Mutual Insurance Company, a provider of workers’ compensation insurance, has named Woody Hill its vice president of loss prevention. Hill will oversee the company’s ongoing initiative to deliver strategic workplace safety services that meet each of its 57,000 policyholders’ unique needs.
“Keeping Texas workers safe and on the job is the most important thing we do at Texas Mutual,” said Richard Gergasko, president and CEO of Texas Mutual. “Woody shares that passion and commitment. His diverse health and safety training, coupled with his track record for inspiring people to fulfill their potential, makes him the perfect fit for our organization.”
Hill holds a bachelor’s in environmental health and safety from Eastern Kentucky University. His field experience includes work in the oil and gas, mining, contracting and manufacturing industries.
Prior to entering the private sector, Hill served 14 years as an industrial hygienist at the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health. In that role, he partnered with employers to develop workplace safety programs, and he provided compliance guidance on safety and health laws.
