Former Owner of Texas Chiropractic Clinic Gets Prison for Fraud Scam
The ex-owner of a Central Texas chiropractic clinic has been sentenced to nearly seven years in federal prison in an automobile insurance scam.
Edward Graham of Bryan was sentenced Monday in Houston.
The former operator of the Texas Avenue Chiropractic Clinic in Bryan was convicted last year of engaging in conspiracy to defraud insurance companies of more $1.2 million.
Prosecutors say the scheme involved bogus medical evaluations and fraudulent billings for patients allegedly hurt in auto accidents.
The 38-year-old Graham joins four other people from Bryan who were convicted or pleaded guilty and sentenced to prison in the scam since 2007. They’ve also been ordered to repay the money.
