Emrick Appointed as Executive Director for Ky. Office of Workers’ Claims
Kentucky Gov. Ernie Fletcher announced that William Emrick will serve as the executive director for the Kentucky Office of Workers’ Claims.
Emrick has been serving as interim executive director since July 1, 2004. He will now officially assume the position.
Prior to this position, Emrick has been serving as the executive director of the Office of Legal Services for the Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet since January. He has also filled numerous key roles in the cabinet, including acting commissioner of Labor, acting executive director of the Office of Financial Institutions, and general counsel for the Kentucky Horse Racing Authority.
Since passing the Kentucky Bar exam in 1978, Emrick has practiced Kentucky workers’ comp law and has nearly three decades of experience in dealing with these matters.
