Davan Named Director of N.C. Industrial Commission’s Claims Administration

Karissa Davan will become the N.C. Industrial Commission’s Director of Claims Administration on Nov. 15. The new section, created by the combining of the Claims and Statistics Sections, will provide administrative handling of non-contested claims and the processing of forms.

Davan has been with the Commission for more than two years, working as the agency legal specialist assigned to Commission Laura Mavretic. In this position, she has had the opportunity to learn workers’ compensation law and procedure that will assist her in the new position,
