Crawford & Co. Promotes Porter, Trice
Atlanta-based Crawford & Company announced that Philip Porter has been named the new business unit head for Claims Management Services (CMS) and Ezra “Bud” Trice has been appointed vice president, Catastrophe Services (CAT). Both appointments are effective immediately.
Porter will be responsible for all of Crawford’s U.S. operations that provide property and casualty services to the insurance carrier market.
Porter joined Crawford in 1973 as branch adjuster in Peoria, Illinois. He became branch claims supervisor in Kansas City, Missouri in 1985, and in 1988, he was promoted to assistant operations manager of the Midwest region. In 1991, he was promoted to vice president, regional manager for the Western Region.
In 2001, Porter was promoted to senior vice president of business development for the U.S. insurance carrier market. He has held this position until accepting the interim CMS business unit head position.
Trice began his career with Crawford & Company as a CAT adjuster in 1976. He worked his way through the ranks of CAT to eventually become manager.
In 1994, Trice transferred over to sales and most recently was the vice president, national account executive for Claims Management Services.
During his tenure with Crawford, Trice has been a part of several CAT teams handling claims from both man-made and natural catastrophes.
