8-Hour C.E. Jewelry Insurance Course Approved for Fla. Claims Adjusters
Florida claims adjusters who need Continuing Education Credits now have an informative jewelry insurance course they can choose.
Jewelry 101: Jewelry Insurance Workshop is offered by JCRS Inland Marine Solutions Inc. (www.jcrs.com) of Oakland, Calif. JCRS is an insurance industry provider in jewelry underwriting and claims mitigation. JCRS is also the developer of the industry’s jewelry insurance appraisal standard and forms.
The Jewelry Insurance Workshop is again being offered to Florida adjusters and insurance professionals on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005 at the Courtyard Fort Lauderdale Weston in Fort Lauderdale. The workshop is approved in Florida for 8 hours Continuing Education Credit.
JCRS has been offering this workshop for nearly three years and has presented it to insurance groups all over the United States. The seminar is particularly relevant to claims adjusters because they make important determinations when it comes to settling a jewelry claim. The course points out, among other things, how adjusters are at the mercy of the quality of the information they have to work with. As a result, many jewelry claims reportedly end up being needlessly overpaid.
The workshop focuses on what insurers at all levels need to know to properly submit, process, and handle jewelry insurance business. The course covers the inherent problems associated with jewelry insurance, how the jewelry industry works and does business, basic gemology and metals, jewelry fraud and detection, insurance industry standards and forms, and more. The workshop presentation is supplemented with graphics, video-tape, discussion, exercises using jewelry data, and includes a comprehensive Jewelry Insurance Manual.
