Fla. Commissioner Encouraging Insurers to Use Loss Mitigation
Property insurers in Florida are being contacted by Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty, to participate in a program that focuses on hurricane loss mitigation at local venues around the state.
The Federal Alliance for Safe Homes is teaming with Citizens Property Insurance Corporation to educate Floridians at the South Florida Hurricane Expo 2006 in Palm Beach County on April 29-30. Similar events are planned for other parts of the state.
Hurricane Loss mitigation reduces insured losses and promotes a stable insurance market.
