Kentucky Business Owner Under Fraud Investigation
Northern Kentucky residents are being alerted that an Erlanger business owner is under investigation for selling bogus auto insurance policies, according to Kentucky’s Insurance Commissioner.
The Kentucky Office of Insurance said Michael Fleckinger of Amtrek Two Insurance Co. has marketed and sold auto insurance to at least 60 individuals during the past 18 months. The Office added that the company is not authorized to sell insurance in Kentucky and Fleckinger is not a licensed agent.
“Although the investigation is ongoing, we wanted to warn consumers that coverage purchased through this individual or company is not valid,” said KOI Executive Director Julie Mix McPeak. “These individuals should obtain valid auto insurance as quickly as possible.”
McPeak said KOI is in the process of contacting affected consumers by mail. But she cautioned that the list obtained from the company may not be complete.
