Tennessee Insurance Commissioner: All Locksmiths to Be Licensed by July
The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance announced the state’s locksmith licensing program and said all locksmiths in Tennessee must be licensed by July 1.
During the 2007 legislative session, the Tennessee General Assembly postponed the effective date of this law, which requires that the Division of Regulatory Boards to license all locksmiths.
Applications for this program will be accepted beginning May 14.
Information on licensing requirements or how to request an application packet can be viewed at www.tennessee.gov/commerce/boards/llp/index.html, or by calling (615) 532-3369.
