1 Killed in North Carolina House Fire
Authorities said a mother was dead and her two children were missing after a fire destroyed their two-story house in Gastonia, N.C.
The Charlotte Observer reported authorities said the mother was killed, and firefighters were looking for two children.
Firefighters needed about 45 minutes to put out the heavy flames after they arrived about 3:30 a.m. There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire.
