Florida Officials Say 7 Cars Damaged in Overhang Collapse
Police and fire officials in Daytona Beach, Florida say seven cars were damaged when a hotel overhang collapsed.
Battalion Chief Kris Gray said no one was hurt when the Regency Inn Daytona’s 50-by-50-foot overhang fell on Aug. 26.
The overhang landed on five cars and debris struck two other vehicles near the drive-through area.
Police spokesman Jimmie Flynt said officials are investigating the collapse, which did not interfere with the hotel’s operations.
