Deer Plunge through Roof of West Virginia Business
Blame it on traffic.
A spooked four-point buck and his companion apparently jumped from an Interstate 470 bridge ramp and plunged through the roof of the Wheeling, W.Va. Distribution Center.
Owner Dan Shay says workers were stunned when they arrived Monday morning to find a hole in the ceiling and a deer on the floor. The warehouse sells doors, windows and siding.
Shay says the buck came to, then began moving around, but police eventually had to put it down.
The other deer hit the roof, leaving a visible dent, then fell from there to its death.
Shay says the repairs will only take a day or two, but the story will last all week.
