Teens to Produce Tennessee Road Safety Commercials
Television announcements about highway work zone safety will be produced by Tennessee high school students.
The state transportation department on Monday launched its Between the Barrels Project Orange video contest.
Teens who write, shoot and edit a 25-second public service announcement on safe teen driving in work zones may submit it by March 1 for competition.
Five regional winners will be selected.
TDOT said the ads will be run on TV stations across the state. BridgestoneAmericas is providing one statewide winner with a set of tires, and the Tennessee Roadbuilders Association is providing a $500 cash prize.
