Small Alabama Town of Gu-Win Hit by Minor Earthquake
The U.S. Geological Survey says a small earthquake has hit a tiny Alabama town.
The 2.0 earthquake happened about 12:23 p.m. Saturday in the town of Gu-Win, which has about 200 people living between Guin and Winfield in northwest Alabama. Marion County sheriff’s officials say no one called to report any damages from the quake.
It’s the state’s ninth earthquake this year. The strongest was a 3.8-magnitude quake April 21 in Centreville
