Arson Spree Suspected in Jackson, Mississippi
The top arson investigator in the Jackson, Mississippi Fire Department says three abandoned houses on one street have burned over the past two weeks.
Greg Travis says arson is likely — and another fire in October on that street may also have been arson.
Police don’t have a suspect.
Travis says that one of the houses where a fire was set in November had also burned about five years ago.
The Jackson City Council recently discussed blight and burned-out houses in the neighborhood but did not find a way to immediately deal with the problem.
