Tennessee Highway Patrol Schedules 100 Checkpoints for Rest of Year
The Tennessee Highway Patrol will set up more than 100 checkpoints across the state during the rest of the year to arrest impaired drivers and other violators.
Highway Patrol Col. Mike Walker issued this warning: “If we catch you, we will arrest you. No exceptions. No excuses.”
Violators often face jail time, the loss of their driver’s license, higher insurance rates and dozens of other unanticipated expenses. These include attorney fees, other fines and court costs, towing and repairs, plus lost time at work.
