S.C. Police Station Destroyed in Suspicous Fire
Fire has destroyed a small South Carolina police station where a patrol car was burned earlier this year.
Lynchburg Mayor Thompson Isaac told WIS-TV says the fire occurred early Wednesday. There are no reports of injuries.
Isaac says police and the Lee County Sheriff’s Department are investigating. But he says the fire is suspicious since a fire in March destroyed an unmarked police car.
Isaac says the fire is another blow to the cash-strapped town of about 500 people. Lynchburg is about 55 miles east of Columbia.
