Helicopter Crashes in Florida Yard
Federal investigators are examining the wreckage of a helicopter that crashed in the front yard of a West Palm Beach home.
No serious injuries were reported from Saturday’s crash. The pilot and one passenger were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The Palm Beach Post reports Nedra Obradovich was sitting at her computer when her house began to shake. Then there was a boom. She went outside to find the helicopter had clipped her roof and crashed in her yard, landing upside down.
Authorities say the pilot lost control before bringing the helicopter down for a “controlled landing.” Power was out in the neighborhood for hours.
The Post reports the helicopter was being used by a flight school that operates from the North Palm Beach County Airport.
