Georgia State Patrol Reports 12 Deadly Wrecks Over Holiday Weekend
The Georgia State Patrol says 12 people have been killed in auto accidents since the Thanksgiving holiday travel period began Wednesday evening.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that 13 people were killed in car crashes during the same period last year.
This year, deadly wrecks have been reported by police in Gwinnett County, Cartersville, Columbus, Blue Ridge, Forsyth, Richmond County, Toccoa and Villa Rica.
In all, state police have tracked 344 crashes and 206 injuries during the period.
