Atlanta Bus Crashes, Injuring 14 People
A spokeswoman for Atlanta’s public bus system says 14 people including the driver were taken to a hospital after a bus crashed on the city’s southwest side.
Atlanta Fire Capt. Jolyon Bundrige says the injuries were classified as minor. He said a preliminary report indicates they were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Atlanta police say the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority bus hit a tree near Nathan Road Southwest and Brownlee Place Southwest. Bundrige says the crash happened shortly after 8 a.m.
Further details of the wreck were not immediately available early Monday morning.
