Florida Highway Patrol to Crack Down on Aggressive Driving
The Florida Highway Patrol is starting a campaign to crack down on aggressive driving.
Troopers will be on the lookout for drivers who are following too closely, making unsafe lane changes and speeding. They will also use billboards and radio messages to increase awareness and hold events at schools and community centers to help educate drivers.
The Highway Patrol reports that actions by drivers account for 88 percent of crashes. The campaign hopes to reduce accidents, injuries and fatalities.
The campaign will take place from Feb. 27 – 29.
