Georgia Officials Investigating Mobile Home Fire
Firefighters are investigating a blaze at a mobile home in Columbus, Ga., that witnesses say was set.
Damisha White told the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer on Friday that she awoke to the screams of a neighbor who saw an arsonist set the blaze.
White, her two sons and three friends escaped the fire.
Fire Marshal Ricky Shores said the fire caused an estimated $12,000 in damage. He said fires make mobile homes a total loss since they cannot be repaired. He said the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
