Georgia Drivers Warned About Wandering Cow Near Freeway
Metro Atlanta drivers are being warned to be on guard for a cow with a history of wandering into traffic on a busy interstate just south of the city.
The cow sometimes grazes in the median of Interstate 675 and shows up from time to time near the highway in Clayton and Henry counties. Henry County police say 911 switchboards light up when the animal comes out of the woods to graze by the freeway.
Police suspect it has been responsible for at least one traffic accident near I-675, so they’d like to find it and catch it.
WSB-TV reports that authorities have named the animal “Kevin the Cow.”
Though drivers are amused by the situation, police say they’re taking the matter seriously because of the potential danger to motorists.
