EMPLOYERS Launches Registered Nurse Hotline
EMPLOYERS has launched Coventry/NT24, a 24-hour hotline staffed by registered nurses who are specially trained to provide medical guidance over the phone for work-related injuries or illnesses.
Coventry/NT24 is staffed by English- and Spanish-speaking nurses with accommodations available for other languages and is available to workers’ compensation policyholders in the state of Florida.
Injured workers or their supervisors can access this new service by calling a toll free hotline to report new work-related injuries or illnesses. Nurses will recommend an appropriate level of care, such as self-care or referral to a medical provider, based on the employee’s reported symptoms.
This value-added service provides policyholders with various benefits which may include:
- Immediate access to registered nurses using national guidelines to assist with assessing an injured employee’s medical needs;
- Reduction in unnecessary medical provider office and emergency room visits;
- Immediate reporting of injury with no paperwork to complete.
