SBA Aid Provided to Flood Victims in 3 States
The Small Business Administration is offering low-interest disaster loans to residents and businesses in Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee affected by flooding on Sept. 11.
SBA Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet says disaster aid is available in DeSoto, Marshall, Tate and Tunica counties in Mississippi; Crittenden County in Arkansas; and Shelby County in Tennessee.
The agency says loans up to $200,000 are available to homeowners to repair or replace disaster damaged or destroyed property. Homeowners and renters are eligible for loans up to $40,000 to repair or replace damaged or destroyed personal property.
Businesses and nonprofit organizations may borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged or destroyed property, equipment and inventory.
A Disaster Loan Outreach Center is opening Friday at the M.R. Davis Public Library in Southaven.
