DKI Member Restores San Jose Retail Development Following $90M Fire
After the largest fire the San Jose Fire Department had seen in 27 years ripped through Santana Row, an upscale retail development in the area, Disaster Kleenup International network member Four Star Cleaning and Restoration of Fremont, Ca., was called in to begin the extensive cleanup process.
Damage from the entire fire, which destroyed the largest building on the high-end development, was estimated to be $90 million. The five-acre, three-story complex suffered extensive smoke, water and mold damage to its more than 70 retail shops as well as its parking structure, utility rooms, security offices and storage spaces. With over 130 personnel working around the clock seven days a week, the Four Star team successfully completed the job in three months.
Four Star Cleaning and Restoration has been a member of Disaster Kleenup International, a network of independent property damage restoration contractors, since 1998 and has been providing insurance restoration and cleaning services in California’s bay area since 1971.
