Workers Compensation Fund (WCF) will recognize 11 companies for their outstanding safety practices during a luncheon Friday, June 27, at 12 p.m. at the City Center Marriott Hotel.
Each year, WCF recognizes those companies who have made a significant commitment to the overall health and safety of their employees.
This year’s recipients of the Charles A. Caine Award for Workplace Safety are: Caffall Tile (Salt Lake), Campbell Scientific (Logan), Chung and Associates (Sandy), D. P. Curtis Transportation (Richfield), Fetzers’ Inc. (Salt Lake), Langford Roofing (St. George), Mac Management (Sandy), R.C. Willey Home Furnishings (Salt Lake), Reynolds Brothers (Murray), Smoot Brothers Transportation (Brigham City) and Sweet Candy Company (Salt Lake).
“Every one of the companies receiving this award should be commended for their excellent safety record,” said Lane Summerhays, WCF president and CEO. “Good safety records go beyond paper and statistics. Safety is not a given. It’s a culture.”
