SteamMaster Offering CleanSpace
Disaster Kleenup International Inc., a network of quality, independent property damage restoration contractors, announced that SteamMaster Cleaning and Restoration Inc., a DKI member company located in Minturn, Colorado, introduced a new line of service: CleanSpace – Crawl Space Encapsulation System.
CleanSpace – Crawl Space Encapsulation System, is a patented, seven-layer, antimicrobial polyethylene complex liner system which helps manage dampness and moisture problems in basements and crawl spaces, improving the health and usable space in those environments. Regaining below-grade space is reportedly proven to increase property value and often results in increased energy efficiency.
To prevent moisture’s negative effects, crawl spaces should be fully sealed and isolated from the ground and foundation wall. Because dirt crawl spaces under a home have very high humidity in the soil, they are a never-ending source of moisture. Even if the dirt’s surface is dry, digging below the surface reveals moist earth. In cold temperatures, that high humidity causes concrete, wood and metal surfaces to sweat with water vapor condensing on them. This causes rot, odor and a water source for animals.
Finishing one’s basement can increase the living space in their home at a fraction of the cost of constructing a new addition, and can increase the value of one’s home.
