Fire Burning in Angeles National Forest
Firefighters are battling a 30-acre-plus wildfire on Mt. Baldy in Angeles National Forest.
The blaze was burning at about 7,000 feet Tuesday as stiff winds began blowing in Southern California.
U.S. Forest Service spokeswoman Kathy Peterson says the fire is burning in the Bear Flat/Bighorn area some 45 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles.
No evacuations are reported in nearby Mt. Baldy village, and there’s no word on what started the blaze.
