Frozen Bananas With Peanuts and Chocolate Recalled
A Newport Beach, Calif., company is recalling its frozen chocolate-covered bananas, because of concerns the product contained peanuts that could be contaminated with salmonella.
L & H Industries announced the recall of 3-ounce packages of “World Famous Gourmet Nutty Nanners Frozen Bananas.”
The recalled products were distributed through wholesalers in Southern California area.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with the frozen bananas.
A national salmonella outbreak that sickened nearly 700 people has been blamed on a Texas plant owned by Plainview Peanut Corp. LLC.
L & H Industries obtained the peanuts used in Nutty Nanners from that company.
