Man Impaled on Saw Blade at Ariz. Construction Site
A construction worker is hospitalized in serious condition after a saw blade pierced part of his stomach at a Gilbert, Ariz., construction site.
Gilbert Fire Department spokesman Mike Connor says the 27-year-old construction worker was flown to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn. The man was on a ladder using a saw with a 10-inch blade while framing a single-story home when somehow the saw kicked back on him.
About 7 inches of blade cut into his stomach.
