Negligence Suit Filed Involving Montana Teacher’s Death
The widow of a Montana middle school teacher who died during a school ski trip last year has filed a lawsuit contending the man’s doctor failed to identify and respond to health conditions that led to his death.
The Independent Record in a story published Saturday reports that Tammy Cloud filed the lawsuit in District Court against David Krainacker.
The lawsuit identifies Krainacker as formerly being with Helena Physicians Clinic and later with St. Peter’s Medical Group.
Kenneth Cloud died Jan. 26 at the end of a school trip to the Great Divide Ski Area.
The lawsuit contends that an autopsy revealed that the 50-year-old had a 95 percent blockage in a major artery.
St. Peter’s Hospital spokeswoman Peggy Stebbins declined to comment.
