Fire Breaks Out at Montana Pepsi Distributor
A fire broke out on the property of a downtown Billings, Mont., soft drink distributor.
Fire Chief Paul Dextras tells the Billings Gazette that firefighters were able to put out most of the flames within a few minutes Wednesday night at the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co.
No injuries were reported. Dextras says it is unknown whether the building was occupied.
Firefighters contained the blaze to a shed and a back portion of the main bottling building. That building contains about 30 vintage cars, two of which caught fire.
Employee Bill Dimich says the cars are part of a collection of Pepsi delivery cars dating to 1926, the year the family went into business.
The damage is estimated at $200,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
