Alaska Rafter Charged With DUI
A Juneau, Alaska, man has been charged with driving under the influence while floating through Fairbanks on an inflatable raft.
According to the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, Alaska State Troopers says 32-year-old William Modene was very intoxicated on Sunday night as he floated the Chena River. Troopers say his blood alcohol level was nearly four times the legal limit.
Alaska’s driving under the influence law applies to people operating motor vehicles, water craft and airplanes.
Modene was arrested without incident and posted $2,500 bail on Monday.
